GT’s newest trail bike is ready to let the good times roll…over everything!
Wilton, Conn. – June 20, 2016 – GT Bicycles, a premium brand of Dorel Industries (TSX: DII.B, DII.A), today announced the launch of the all-new 2017 Pantera 27.5+ in Park City, Utah. GT’s newest ride is a plus-size hardtail mountain bike ideal for all kinds of gnarly terrain.
The GT Pantera is for riders who want to step out of their comfort zone and tackle whatever the mountains throw at them. The Pantera has the maneuverability of a traditional trail bike which allows the rider to shred on flowy single-track and technical descents, but it also has the increased stability of 27.5+ wheels to take the bike over rooted, rocky, and rutted-out sections.
“The Pantera is a bike that is happy anywhere and everywhere,” said Tim Inall, General Manager, GT Bicycles. “This bike encourages riders to attack any terrain and be confident while doing it.”
The Pantera is outfitted with a T6 Alloy Triple Triangle Frame for a lightweight and durable ride. The bike’s progressive geometry, which provides a longer front center, makes for improved rider balance, climbing traction, and descending control.
Additionally, the 27.5+ tires increase overall traction for cornering and pedaling, which ultimately improve handling whether it’s to the top of the climb or mashing through a rock garden.
The Pantera will be available at Independent Bike Dealers beginning in early fall 2016 and will include three models – Expert, Elite, and Comp. For more information on GT, visit www.gtbicycles.com.
